How to create public news/events

step-by-step description for registered members


It's required to be registered member to post public news (or events) on the portal. The publication process is divided on the steps:

  1. log in as registered member,
  2. to keep all documents in one folder is not a convenient way to organize work with the documents, so at first create a folder for your news (or events),
  3. go to the folder above and create a news item (or event), set properties of the item to required ones, e.g. item can allow comments by registered members to exchange opinions and post extra info about it,
  4. set state of the item to published by menu "state"
That's it! Your item is appeared in respective public smart folder "news" (or "events") and portlet (a box with item list dedicated to some item types).

To edit item you have to "retract" it at first by menu "state", edit it and "publish" to make it public again.
